Martinique is a kiteboarding destination, but not only that!

Martinique is a kiteboarding destination rich in varied spots for all levels and tastes! Bathed by the trade winds for a large part of the year, kitesurfing and windsurfing enthusiasts like us are spoiled for choice.

But sometimes the wind doesn't cooperate, or conversely, we've sailed so much that we're exhausted… What happens to us then…
When you're not out on the water kitesurfing or windsurfing , you can sometimes take advantage of a calm sea for a relaxing paddleboarding excursion, because Alizé Fun also rents stand-up paddleboards ! Standing on our wide boards, we paddle peacefully towards Îlet Chevalier or along Anse Michel , towards Anse au Bois, admiring the scenery with the smooth, consistent feeling of gliding. When the spot is flattest, paddling towards the coral reef offers another promise of wonderful discoveries: navigating above the coral heads is truly breathtaking…

Does one person's misfortune bring happiness to others?
Or how to look on the bright side… The adage seems to apply to water sports in Martinique, and when the wind disappoints the kitesurfers, it's the surfers who rejoice. They then leave the southern spots behind to head to the wild beauty of Tartane and the Caravelle peninsula, and enjoy the waves with Surf'Up .
Anse Bonneville, Charpentier, Pelle à tarte… are all invitations to experience different gliding sensations .

No waves or wind? We set off to admire fish and coral with Histoire d'Air and our friend Damien, explorer of underwater treasures… Never where we expect to be, because as a traveling instructor, he takes us from place to place on discovery or advanced dives , friendly, rich and surprising.

On the way back to our beloved south, a quick stop at Martinique Wake Park to work on our tricks ;-) and have a drink "among watermen" in a Riding Zone atmosphere…

Wherever you are on the island, nature also calls us to exotic hikes , sometimes challenging, sometimes refreshing, such as the Trace Prêcheur-Grand Rivière - among our favorites once in the North - the Caravelle trail, in Trinité, or the Trace des caps in Sainte-Anne.
For a breath of fresh air, we'll continue our adventure in the North Atlantic rainforest , scrambling through the rivers with the "Adventure and Canyons" association.

Finally, sometimes we're in a mood for zero sport , chill and indulgence , and we head to our favorite spot to share one of the best local dishes with far-flung inspirations… Pizzbook combines local flavors and Italian know-how to serve authentic pizzas.
